St. Louis Park is a growing community that directly borders Minneapolis’ western side. Just minutes from downtown, residents have the convenience of a major metropolitan area and still have the small town feel.

St. Louis Park does not have a traditional “downtown”; however, has two central commercial areas: Excelsior & Grand and West End. Excelsior & Grand is a sophisticated environment with luxury apartments, everyday retail services, shopping boutiques and a variety of dining options. West End is a progressive mixed-use development that envelops more than one hotel, grocery stores, a movie theater, a range of stylish restaurants and upscale shopping. Both of these areas serve as commercial hubs in St. Louis Park and will continue to do so in the future.

St. Louis Park is right on the brink of Minneapolis’ chain of lakes, which provide outdoor activities and entertainment for all. Alternatively, is home to 51 parks and 24 miles of paved trails, which the city maintains year round.

Due to the city’s close proximity to the city, St. Louis Park real estate is always in high demand. The majority of the housing in St. Louis Park was developed in the mid-1900s. Modest single-family homes are the most common in this city; however, buyers with a larger budget can look towards the eastern border, where St. Louis Park luxury homes border Minneapolis’ chain of lakes. The recent evolution of mixed-use developments in St. Louis Park has also rejuvenated the condo market in St. Louis Park.

The St. Louis Park school district contains 15 schools, ranging from public,  immersion and charter schools. The district offers a wide variety of extra curricular activities, making the city a perfect location for a young family. In addition to the public school offerings, St. Louis Park is home to Benilde St. Margaret’s, one of Minnesota’s premier Catholic college preparatory schools.

St. Louis Park is a great location for homebuyers, especially those who value easy access to the city. Come check out St. Louis Park and decide for yourself if this western suburb is perfect for your next home!
